Summer Enrichment Program at UVA
In conjunction with the Curry School of Education, the University of Virginia announces the 36th year of its residential summer program for gifted and/or high ability students. Students enrolled in grades 4-10 during the 2012/2013 school year may apply to attend a twelve day session. For a list of course descriptions, click here.
MIT Workshop
The TOPS Physics Workshop is a two-week program for high school students interested in science who are currently freshmen and sophomores. Participants will explore the physics of heat, energy, and light through hands-on activities and lessons taught by undergraduate physics students.
Building Leaders for Advancing Science and Technology
BLAST will offer a dynamic three-day residential summer experience on the campus of Virginia Tech (VT) and the University of Virginia (UVA) in the summer of 2014. Through innovative hands-on experiences taught by faculty members and staff, students will explore the fun and excitement of STEM while residing on a college campus. BLAST is geared to students who may have an interest in STEM or an underlying aptitude for STEM academics, but have not yet discovered the excitement of STEM.
